Where AI Actually Belongs in Business Software (and Where It Doesn't)

We get a lot of requests to 'add AI' to a product without a specific problem attached. That's usually a sign the feature won't survive contact with real usage.

The AI integrations that stick are narrow and measurable: document extraction that saves a specific manual step, a support triage assistant that reduces first-response time, a recommendation layer with a clear conversion metric attached.

Before we build any AI feature, we ask what happens when the model is wrong, because it will be, sometimes. If there's no good answer to that question, the feature needs a human-in-the-loop safeguard before it ships, not after.
